We use these heaters as a supply of power effective heating for more than four years now at our inn. They have an adjustable feature that supplies electricity to the silicone filled element to generate heat and then cut off the power when the silicone fluid gets hot. This function saves power. We also benefit from only heating those areas we want to keep warm by employing zone versus central heat.
We purchased them to cut down our usage of the central propane hot air furnace and have saved income by only heating areas required and lowering propane usage.
They also help keep our yurts comfy in the winter.
We purchased this heater to use at night in our bedroom so we didn't have to heat the entire residence. It worked great for three and 1/two years and then 1 night I smelled an odd plastic burning smell coming from the manage on the side. I named the business and there is a fix they can send. It expenses around $32-35 bucks which I wasn't happy with. I was so irritated that I bought a completely different heater that is a lot more of a box style. I cannot stand that 1. It is sooo noisy I cannot hear anything going on in the home. I am basically calling now to get the replacement component for the Farenheat. Just wish they would have covered the repair because judging from the web posts it is a prevalent challenge with this sort.
