I was trying to uncover some gloves that would hold up to the pruning I have to do on all the thorny shrubs and cactus that we have on our house. These gloves had been reviewed as excellent for pruning roses so I thought they would perform, but discover the leather - despite the fact that very soft, supple and comfy to put on - is too delicate and gets caught on the thorns and is already finding extremely scrathed up. They do not defend my hands from cactus spines either. I would advise them for less harsh garden function even though as they are extremely nice gloves and nicely made.
Gloves have a nice soft feel, but the sizing is WAY off. I quite often put on a modest, but ordered a medium to allow for maximum flexibility. I could barely get them on, and once I did I could not bend my fingers into a fist. The way the fingers are sown in tends to make it uncomfortably tight across the palm. I've had leather gloves prior to, and there is no way these could 'stretch' to be wearable.
